World Famous Clydesdales Spotted Preparing for Motorcycle Parade
|

The Rally Committee has recently been notified that the world famous Clydesdales will be coming to Austin for the 2003 ROT Biker Rally. This will be the first time we've had them at our event, and it will also mark the first time that the Clydesdales have ever appeared at any kind of Texas motorcycle event.
The magnificent horses will arrive on Thursday, and they’ll be stabled in the south end of the Show Barn on the rally premises. Feel free to come on Thursday after 3:00 PM and snap a few pictures of the most famous horses in the world. Sometime Friday afternoon, the horses will be trucked downtown where they’ll be hitched to a wagon. When the big motorcycle parade from the rally site nears the downtown area, the Clydesdales will fall in at the head of the procession and lead the bikes to the parking area. Be there.

Freestyle Motocross and Trials Bike Stunt Shows

When you think of motorcycle events and motorcycle stunts, what comes to mind—wheelies, burnouts, smoking doughnuts? That’s nothing compared to jumping your motorcycle off of a ramp and doing a handlebar layout thirty feet in the air. The ROT Biker Rally always brings you some of the best motorcycle events in the nation, and the 2003 rally will be no exception. Some of the scheduled attractions will include motorcycle stunts by World Champion Trials Rider Tommi Ahvala, the Team X-treem Street Bike Stunts team, and the Team Extreme Freestyle Motocross daredevils. One of the largest attractions from last year’s ROT Rally, the Team Extreme Freestyle Motocross, will again be one of the centers of attention at this year’s event. Be there for the heart pounding excitement of motorcycles flying through the air, death defying mid-air stunts, and white-knuckle landings. Don’t miss your chance to see all of the action.

Freestyle Motocross is the fastest growing action sport at motorcycle events nationwide. It combines suspense, thrills, and danger into a mind blowing display of motorcycle aerial acrobatics. Team Extreme FMX is a group of professional riders who will wow the crowds and cheat death in the high flying, high stakes stunt show called Freestyle Motocross. Bikers from around the country will want to see these guys perform their radical stunts, but please—do not try this at home.
Trials riding is what Tommi Ahvala from Finland has been doing all his life, and the 2003 ROT Biker Rally is delighted to have this former world champion strut his stuff at our motorcycle event once again. Tommi performs wheelies, stoppies and all the other observed trials stunts that made him the world champion trials rider a few year ago. He specializes in riding his Gas Gas two-stroke over obstacles (like cars) that are obviously impossible. Tommi makes spinning around on one wheel look like child’s play. If you want to see the best in the world, Tommi Ahvala is your man.

Superbikes and Superbike stunt shows are as cutting-edge as motorcycle events can get. Todd Colbert’s Team X-treem Street Bike Show is at the top of the food chain when it comes to Superbike stunt shows. Todd is known for steering his motorcycle with his legs and skiing behind his motorcycle in hair-raising displays of control, precision and agility. He and two other guys from Team X-treem will perform incredible stunts that will leave even the toughest biker in awe. These guys simply have to be seen to be believed.
All three of these stunt acts will perform three shows per day on Friday and Saturday. You may have seen these acts somewhere else, but the 2003 ROT Biker Rally is the only place in the U.S. this year to see them all, back to back, in the same place. These stunt shows are available to all registered attendees at no extra charge.
