ROT 2008 RV reservations will open on January 1, 2008
The next R.O.T. Rally officially opens on Thursday June 12, 2008, and we are implementing a few changes, outlined below, to handle the large number of Tent and RV campers that we are expecting. Please review the FAQs and the information below, if you still have questions, drop us an e-mail from the Contact Us section.
We are making as many RV spaces available as possible, but the spaces are limited. Please remember, for an RV to be admitted to the rally, it must be registered ahead of time and hold a reservation for an RV parking space before arriving at the rally. When the spaces are gone, they’re gone, and no more RVs will be admitted.

What is an RV? Anything that has wheels, is not pulled by a motorcycle, and is used for overnight camping. Bottom line, if you’re sleeping in it, you’ll need to register for an RV parking space ahead of time. ROT 2008 RV reservations will open at 12:01 am on January 1, 2008.

If your idea of camping at the ROT includes a real bed and air conditioning inside your RV, the ROT has made provisions to accommodate over a thousand RVs within the rally grounds. Most of the sites are for self contained camping, however, two of the lots (Purple and Lime) provide 30amp electric service. In addition, we have an on-site vendor that services holding tanks and delivers bulk water, for a fee, to all RV locations. RV spaces are available in two sizes, Standard – 20’ X 50’ and Jumbo- 20’ X 80’. Generally, the size of the space will accommodate an RV, motorcycles, vehicle and extra items you may wish to bring; however, there is a limit of one RV pass and one auto/truck pass per RV space. Remember, there is plenty of free parking in the South auto parking lot for any additional vehicles.
Each RV space reservation includes 2 rally registrations, if more than two rally registrations per space are required, registrations may be made online or purchased at the rally at the standard fee.
RV reservations may be cancelled for any reason until June 1, 2008. If cancelled before June 1, 2008, and upon receipt of written notice of cancellation (letter or e-mail), we will refund the RV reservation fee less a $25 handling fee.

Each year more and more folks are showing up with their tents to enjoy the ROT camping experience firsthand. The rally grounds consist of over 200 acres of land, a good deal of which is available for tent camping; as always, there will be plenty of free camping. While the tent camping is primitive, water is available from a number of hose bibs around the facility, and free, cold water shower stalls are located in the Covered Vendor Mall. In addition, an on-site vendor provides trailers with hot water showers for a nominal fee, payable by the soak or for the entire rally.
There’s no additional charge for tent camping, however, if you wish to park your car or truck next to your tent, you must purchase and display a vehicle parking pass (Camper Parking Pass). The parking pass allows in and out privileges and is available in the Registration area for a onetime fee of $20 per vehicle. Motorcycles are not required to have a parking pass. If you don’t need a car or truck at your campsite, we have plenty of free parking available in the South auto parking lot. Motorcycle trailers may also be parked at campsites in the tent camping area provided they are less than 14 feet in length and are pulled by a car or truck with a Camper Parking Pass. Motorcycle trailers longer than 14 feet but less than 20 feet may be parked on one of the free Trailer Drop areas; trailers longer than 20 feet require an RV space reservation.
When setting up a campsite for a group or club, we ask that you be considerate of your fellow campers; take only the space you require and do not limit access to other camping areas. Because Travis County will be mowing the grounds up until the time we open the gates, any tape or other boundary markers set up in the camping area prior to the official start of the rally are not permitted and will be removed.
Please remember, the Travis County Fire Marshal does not allow campfires or open ground fires of any kind on the rally grounds.
