"Wow what an amazingly well run rally. Special thanks to law
enforcement and EMT's. My Father-in-Law had a slight accident on his Harley and the EMT's (motorcycle special event team) was tending him before the dust settled. Fantastic job and we look forward to attending 2007."

"With over thirty years of riding with my H.S. sweetheart, the only down side to the ROT is that we only come from San Antonio which is a short ride, otherwise what I used to refer to as "Little Sturgis" some years ago, seems a little inaccurate now the way its grown. This is now the only rally we will be going to. Rock on!!!!!!!!"

"This was our first ROT rally. We had a blast even though we rode in the rain on the way there on Wensday. But even the rain couldnt bring us down. The ROT is one of the best organized rallies we've been to yet. The people of Austin Texas are the best they open up their town every year and go out of their way to make us all feel right at home. The only thing we found a little disappointing was the amount and postion of the tent camping. Even with the rain and heat we will be back next year. Thanks for the memories See you next year!!!!!"

"First off, our many thanks to all the volunters, vendors and the law enforcement personel who made this years ROT RALLY a beauty to behold. You guys did a great job and are to be commended. We had a BLAST thru the rain, mud and the sun. The parade was awesome and we broke the record for the most bikes ever, about 60,000 was what I heard. D.A.C; JOAN JETT AND PAUL RODGERS where as great as ever. Thanks again, see ya next year!!!"

"We're local and been enjoying ROT for years. We consider ourselves to be hardcore bikers because we schedule our vacations and personal events around motorcycling. We've been too many large and well known rallies but we consider ROT to be the BEST!!! It's well organize, good traffic flow, good entertainment and great vendors. All this plus the beauty of Austin make this rally tops in our hearts. BTW - if Tejano Thunder on Sunday is offered next year please, if possible, stick around to help support and enjoy it. ROT ON!!!"

I have already been on line to check out where we will stay next year, which I hope is closer than where we stayed this year . I would have to say they need closer Hotels though, for those of us that do not have the Privilege of having a camper just yet, Regardless of that we will be back next year. SEE YOU THERE..."

Well, it did - What a great time and lots of great people! I even got in about 600 miles on the rental for the weekend through some awesome countryside and hills (and even a soaking rain). I have no idea if I had come the farthest for the ROT Rally, but one thing for sure, I will go back!"

Also, it was a great idea to move the main stage closer to the "heart" of the rally. Awesome job overall by the rally staff, volunteers, and local emergeny and LE personnel. I had a great time and looking forward to next year. Joan Jett was great. She is one of my favorite artists. I'm not much into Paul Rogers, though. How 'bout AC/DC next year!"

Although, my buddy (motorcycle accident in November)couldn't be with us this year, my wife and I had him in our thoughts as we drove through the rain and the sunshine too. I know he was looking down at us and telling us to ride on, like he always did. We had a great time and the people were great as always. We will definately go back again next year. It will be our third. KUDOS to all the bands, police, volunteers and vendors for making it an exciting event."

"Just returned from the '06 ROT. My girl and I wanted to make only a few comments. Though there were so many things to appreciate about this year's event, we were most impressed about the quality of the planning, and execution of all aspects of the Rally. Without a doubt, the officers that made our trip and rally safe are to be thanked. Their attitude, respect and help made us all feel well taken care of. Also the city of Austin is purely magical -- from the mayor on down and expecially those beautiful people who lined the streets for miles and miles to smile and cheer us on! What wonderful people. Noticed the billboards "Share the Road -- look twice for Motorcycles" now that's caring!! Thank you all so much!"

"We want to thank all the folks at the ROT Rally, the stage crew, the production company and most of all...the people. Many braved the elements on Thursday, and while the rain may have dampened the grounds, it did not dampen the spirits! Even though technical difficulties finally prevented our performance at 6pm, Angela Peterson and David Allen Coe were able to give us all a great show and we appreciate the effort that was made by everyone to allow us to play. Those fleeting moments on stage last night will be forever etched into our memory. "ROT" ON and we look forward to entertaining ya'll next year :-)"

"Many ride to play, Some ride to work, Others go to offices, A Few play in the dirt. Most trade in their knives, For job security badges, Others ride the day, Wearing honoring patches. But one thing is always agreed, We are bikers, we too can bleed. We all gather 'round, A few times a year, To see old friends, And drink lots of beer. I see Harley Davidson's, And Yamaha's too, There's a few Suzuki's
And some Victory's to boot. Some riders come from miles, Others just up the road, But one things for certain, Rallies never get old. So rise up your mugs, And toast all your old friends, Here's to another year, Of making it to the ROT again!"

"My 2nd rally and certainly not the last. My only problem
with it is it is too short!!! I arrived Thursday early and the party had already started. I talked to some of the vendors who set up Wednesday and they said they had people there Wednesday trying to buy things. They said the partying really started then. It just built from there and by Saturday
I was sad to think it was coming to an end so soon. My thanks to all the lovely ladies there and there are a LOT of them. They certainly make it fun."

guys! Hotel accomodations were great, (no price gougling-excellent!) Thumbs up to all the vendors and a special thanks to the local Austin HD Dealer, their place was a mini-rally within itselfs. But for godsake, keep the deer (4-legged kind) of the road. One of them cost me $450 in bike damages when I crashed into it. There's a reason I have the handle

"The Rally in Austin was awesome. Lot's of beautiful people,
and bikes. Only thing I could find wrong was the fact that the custom builders closed down their displays around 7:00 pm, on Sat. nite! We rode around the area all day, had a great B-B-Q lunch at Opie's, then went out to the rally only to find the builders were shut down. We had several unhappy guys with us. Maybe next time they can stay until maybe 10:00pm
or so. Thanks for the opportunity for the feedback."

"Another great rally- it is indeed getting better each year.
I do wish 3 things, though... The rally needs to be longer than 3 full days (Sunday doesn't really count since everything shuts down at noon). Please make it a weeklong event. Then there could be 2 poker runs (the best part of the rally, riding wise...) Also, have the Friday night parade go north on Congress instead of south. Having the capital in view as you approach the concert area would be a much better visual for the visitors from out of town. Looking forward to '06... Austin seems verrrrry quiet this week. Too bad."

every year. As a Photojournalist I get the opportunity to travel to most every major rally and a lot of so called rally events in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisianna, Florida, Tennessee and beyond. In my travels I have found that this is a get better each year type of Rally. Worth the time and a bargain at the present price. If you have not yet experience ROT it is a must attend event! "THANKS to whomever pulled off the addition of Mark Chesnut to the entertainment line up!!! I just told my husband that I'm tired of going to rallies & hearing "has been" entertainers. It's time for big rallies like the ROT to come up to the 21st Century with it's musicians, and this is a great start!!!!"

"I have been to Sturgis, but let me say that the ROT of Texas is by far the greatest. Because: The cops are kick ass! The ROT personale were kick ass! The whole rally just simply flowed very smooth. I came home with 2 gifts (thongs) the ladies are fine. We book for the next year as soon as you come on line and this is our 4th year in 2005 and it keeps getting better. Beacuse: The ROT staff listens to the comments of the visitors and each year more services are offered. By far ROT kicks Ass! Texas is #1 and will some day match the numbers of Sturgis and Florida, just mark it on your calender."

"I was a vendor at the 04 rally for the first time. In 20
years of doing rallies and shows this rally has to be one of the BEST ORGANIZED rallies of all. Getting processed on the set-up day was a VERY SMOOTH process thanks to the many professional people processing the vendors. There was no time wasted. All material sent to the vendors was the truth, no surprises. Great promoters they know what they are doing and they are VERY PROFESSIONAL. Will be back every year. The crowd was incredible." - Abelardo Perez

"What a great time! Drove my Valyrie down from the very NW
tip of Arkansas and lived every second of it! You guys run a great Rally and I can't wait for next year to see everyone since Austin is my home town. One thought though, why not have a Chilli cook-Off in the Barn? It would add some food for everyone and make the pace smell incredible! See you next year . . . maybe you could keep it in the 70's (degree-wise)
for us old farts?"

"Three days of "Just what the doctor ordered"!!!! . The Tinkster and I, with a group of great friends, planned this ralley since NOV. of 03. Unfortunately, one month before the big gig my 04 Heritage and I encountered a nasty interlude with a pick-up truck leaving myself and miss piggy down but not out! Fresh out of the skelatal corrections facility, I was put into the phattest wheelchair known to man and taken to the the big event and had a blast!!! We will be back in 05 and on two wheels as well! Thanks for a great time!"

All I keep saying about ROT Rally is: "Whatever you can imagine seeing, you can see it at ROT"! Beautiful Bikes, friendly people and fun times. The party on 6th street reminded me a lot of Mardi Gras AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT YOU CAN SEE AT MARDI GRAS!! We look forward to next years party!!"

As long as there's a R.O.T. Rally to attend, you can count on us to be there. I'd like to personally thank the folks at the "Rubber Duckie" personal showers for keeping us refreshed on a daily basis. Best $10 deal anywhere on site!!! Hank Jr. was nothing short of outstanding. Tough act to beat for next year! The pictures posted on the website are great memories for all who attended."

While I was directing the RV's, people were asking me "Is this a bike rally or a freakin RV rally". I just laughed. I will be there next year for your assistance in volunteering if you need me. Chris had a great time, it was her first rally, and she want's to come back next year. I had alot of people asking me about the American Flag painted on my artificial leg, and I advised them it was to honor the Troops. Well, take care Brothers and I will see you next year."

Second, We would like to thank the kind and hospitable people of Austin. In the two years that we've been comming to the rally, we have not witnessed any fighting, or even seen another person use a harsh word toward another individual. There must have been some, but we sure didn't see it, and with that said. We thank all our brother and sister bikers and family members who attended for making this rally a warm and enjoyable event.
