Saturday June, 11th, 2011 - In front of a packed crowd at the Main Stage Amphitheatre just before the Doobie Brothers took the stage, The Republic of Texas Biker Rally awarded two lucky winners their 2011 Harley Davidson Dyna Street Bobs from Cowboy Harley Davidson of Austin.

Prior to the 2011 ROT Rally, organizers offered all rally goers that pre-registerd for the rally the chance to win the first of the Harleys. Registration was held open until just up to the start of the rally and those that purchased their tickets either online, or at one of the particpating Harley Davidson dealerships across Texas were automatically entered in the drawing.

The Winner of the "Pre-Registration Bike" was Richard Duran from Midland Texas. Richard was the 143 registrant this year. He has been coming to the ROT Rally for five years with a bunch of his buddies. Funny thing is, Richard almost didn't make it this year because his son has been playing in the state playoffs. Well, we're glad you made it Richard. Best of luck with the new ride!

Every year, The ROT Rally honors the men and women of our armed forces by giving away a motorcycle to a military service member. Just our way of saying thanks to those who pay the freight for all of us. Active and retired military personel in attendance were given the chance to register for the contest all rally long in the Thunderdome. The winner of our Military Bike Giveaway is Seargent Sammy Sparger of the United States Army (above with keys). Seargent Sparger is a vetern of Operation Iraqi Freedom and has served in the military for 23 years. His wife is in the military as well. The Spargers didn't even know we were giving away a bike until they walked into the Thunderdome and saw people signing up for the giveaway. Talk about lucky!

From all of us at ROT, we would like to say thank you to all of our service men and women for having our backs and for making our way of life possible.
