ok...the "Hate Being a Rookie" thread had 7729 views and 736 replies AND WE ARE ALL OVER IT!
However, there may still be a lot of random chatters out there like Mel, anxious for ROT to get here, with a little time on their hands, and wanting to participate in the Forum
what are we random-hyper-look-bright-shiny-object-eager-ROTn Forum posters supposed to do? how do we contain this? where can we spew like "Tourettes and vomit"? Right here!! Any topic (pg-13 cough cough), any time, and you don't have to take your meds (YOGI)!
ONE RULE (in addition to all the Forum rules): NO STRING OF ONE WORD POSTINGS!!
EXCEPT FOR: BOOBS! (SURELY, WE CAN'T BE SPANKED FOR THAT LOL!)

As long as conversation is taking place and chatter is ensuing and bikes, beads, boobs and beer are being discussed. Post away. No one word post or other such attempts to rack up the points - besides those who were revolting -- and were allowed a whole ton of leaway and rule breaking - aren't Rookies anymore. :D

I understand the reason why, but what you get is people replying with nonsensical remarks just to accomplish the same thing. And they do it in the middle of somewhat relevant threads. Made sense to me to keep it isolated to one thread. Whatever...........
It was nice to have a thread to jump on when everyone was "new"...i wasn't even a rookie when i started it. I like coming back and checking in on everyone's excitement and wonderings leading up to ROT. I hadn't been on for an extended period in a few days, and came back to those one-word-posts at the end and got a chuckle out of it lol! it was getting harder to catch up w all those one-word-posts, now that we have the "Newest to Oldest" option. I did enjoy everyone's varied topics before that, though. Kind of like chat, but you don't miss out when you're not online because you can just go back and review.
It would be nice if we had a ROT Rally Chat room. I never could get the other one to work...not even sure if it did. Did it work before? I chat on BON and elsewhere, but it would be so nice here to have ROT attendee cam chat with those we are about to party with.

Did the chat option on the "old" Forum work?

It's Big Brother's game. Gotta play by his rules. Even if it doesn't make any sense. Right Top? Trust me. I've been neutered.

IIWII. That's my 2 cents worth! I'm over it now.

Well I still like BOOBS and some times I might like to get spanked (depending on who's doing the spanking)!

Good, and it was Big Sister (me) that closed it. I can hardly keep up with the new forum and that thread was running me ragged. If everybody follows standard forum decorum this can be as much fun - but less work for me. :)

Yes it did. Sort of. At first it was limited to something like 4 people, any more were blocked. Then they finally fixed that but some people could never get it to work. Then I think people like me would come on, log into it, see no one else was there and log back out, so it never filled up and people just kind of forgot about it.
Chat is fun, but sometimes it is flying back and forth so fast you can't keep up with all of the conversations.

We can't have that Spirit. We need you in tip-top shape for the Rally!
I'm not sure I understand the green checks on threads. Is that covered in the FAQ's?

No, and I don't understand them either. They don't seem to affect anything so I just ignore them. lol

Kinda like I do with the voices?

I guess what I am trying to find out is how to tell when I have read a thread. Right now I am trying to subtract the hours from when I was on last time. There's got to be a simpler way or I am just a dumba$$.

I thought for the longest there was a way to make it easier to keep up with what was where....but I haven't found one. I have asked (again, recently) for them to add a Post Since Last Visit button and have been told that its on the list but there are other priorities ahead of it. So, for now, I just accept that its rather time consuming. But its worlds better than it was the day it went online!! And it will improve more....and take less time as it evolves.

What you said the site is getting better!!

yeah, BON was getting like that, then they had some kind of pop-up problem and people were getting booted, so they did away with cam chat. when they did away with cam chat, it hit their chat room hard. that was last fall/winter. it took them a while to recover, and they just started a chat with cam options back last week or so. i haven't tried it yet because i spend time here, since ROT is so close.
SPIRIT, i hope this does get easier for you. i put "no one word posts" and "pg-13" so i hope it helps. the "introduce yourself" thread is getting looooong. seems like a lot more from this Forum will be aware of the M&G...should be a massive party!! are you ready??
