Okay...the thread talking about Bloody Marys is making me crave one! If you have a really awesome Bloody Mary recipe, why not share it with the whole bunch of us?

Ha Ronni you got me thinking the same thing.  I have to call back home and and find out what our recipe was at the bar.  I may have to head down stairs for some V8 juice.

Went and got my V8 on.  No vodka no veggies but it gave me a little fix.  Love that stuff.

The best Bloody Mary I've ever had was at a little bar in Lake Charles last year before we headed to ROT. It took the bartender for ever to make it but damn it was good. Then she closed the bar early and gave me something else that I can't mention on this board since we're staying pg-13. I guess people are just really freindly in that town. Wink

This one sounds good:

  • 1 quart good-quality tomato juice
  • 6 oz. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 T Tabasco sauce
  • 1 T red pepper flakes
  • 1 T cracked black pepper
  • 1 t dried dill, or 2 t chopped fresh dill
  • ¼ C grated fresh horseradish

Directions:
In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend for 1 minute. Use as needed. The mix will last for up to 2 days, covered and refrigerated.

VV is right! I have consumed massive amounts of Bloodmarys over the years and Zing Zang is still the best and easiest. I'm big on the Worcestershire though. I always double my Worcestershire and Tabasco.

Also had a very good one at the Hard Rock in Memphis on Beal. The bartender was also a cajun and he made it really spicy. Burned my lips but it was awsome. No HE didn't close down and give me anything else either so don't ask.

Looks like I need to make a trip to Wally World for some Zing Zang and then to the liquor store for vodka! I need to do some serious experimentation!!!!
