This topic's been brought up several times and while ROT isn't a political organization and chooses not to enter the fray - or allow political discussion in the forum - for those who have expressed a desire to boycott Austin for their stand you should know that the Expo center is not inside the city limits of Austin.
Also, for those who prefer to not spend their money in Austin because of their boycott of Arizona's recent Immigration Bill, you should know that Round Rock has been looking for a way to court ROT's patrons buisiness for some time now. They have food and lodging and would love to have your business.
The attempts to limit the conversations around the subject are not to supress anyone's voice or to take a side in this situation .. they are to keep this forum enjoyable and fun without strife over political issues. For those bikers who would like to express your opinion on the subject with your pocketbook, you might want to consider staying in Round Rock.

Your welcome Grumpybutt!
Other bike friendly towns with lodging are Bastrop, Pflugerville and Georgetown. Attending the rally but keeping the money out of Austin will make a very loud statement. :)

I'm riding in from Arizona. Please don't lynch me!
Fourth ROT. Never seen a problem. Nothing but fun. I hope their are no toronados this year.
I'm staying with my son in San Marcos Wednesday night. Then, camping at ROT. I hope I can buy beer with my AZ license.

Fear not as Arizona got balls to be Americans, and protect America.
I moved from Austin after 42 years to get away from tree huggers, PC, etc. just couldn't take it anymore.
