Is the funky looking skull with fangs and bug-eyes going to be the new ROT logo? I hope not! It looks goofy and I don't care for wearing skulls!

I hope the tshirts have the cow skull with the Texas map on it. I hadn't thought about the tshirts.....I just knew I didn't like it as well as the banner.

That skull is just a bit too weird for me!

I concur. You could find this logo anywhere. I like the Texas-like motif using cow skulls and stars and things. Another example of how the powers that be are unplugged from what the people that pay want. I'm beginning to wonder if they even listen. Get a clue!!!

Maxx
The powers that be know they will sell every RV site, and attract enough campers whether they give us what we want are not. If 50 of us rotested and cancelled we would be replaced so fast they would not even notice.
Examples:
The entertainment this year.
The new web site.
The new ranking system Rookie, Bugger, Tail End, Whatever the next cub scout merit badge is.
So they don't care about what we think about Ugly skull or Traditional Cow Motif.
I have learned and accepted our opinion does not matter. Best advice is just accept it and don't rxpect an answer or explanation. It's not like BAR where you can talk to Rick and Sheila.

First...congrats on making Bagger! Hah!
Second...I dread the day that B.A.R. becomes big enough that you are just a number like here.
Can I have the other corner?

Hey, I have an idea. What if the R.O.T. powers-that-be selected say 3-5 members randomly to be involved in decisions like changing the format, selection of logos, selection of the music line-up and also in offering up suggestions on what WE would like to see offered at next years rally in the way of improvements? After all WE provide the financial means to put the rally on, shouldn't WE have some input?

What is this WE you speak of? In captalism We is the people with the money. In socialism it is the people in power. So although I personally like your suggestion. It would infringe on their power to bring us Brett Micheals.

I don't really like the logo either, and I didn't really like the website at first but I don't think that means the owners of this rally don't want the rally to be the best it can be. They are good people with good hearts. Their desire is to make the rally awesome enough that those who attend ROT will want to come back year after year yet fresh enough to attract new people too.
The people that own ROT are just like any other business owner - they are in this to offer a good product that will make a profit. Dissatisfied clientele isn't how they have grown this rally to be as big as it is...they're doing their best to make attendees happy. And, imo, they usually do a really good job of it. Change isn't always good - but it isn't always bad either.
Except in the case of Achmed the Chrome Terrorist with Vampire Teeth. I'm not too fond of him regardless of intentions. If it were up to me, I'd keep the Republic of Texas Biker Rally's logo reflecting The Lone Star State ... and chrome dome up there would be outta there! lol
I will make sure that all of your comments are passed along to the proper person though.

Just curious Spirit. Do the ROT owners do any surveys? Do they follow up and ask the attendees what they liked and/or disliked about the Rally after it is over?
Once again, thanks for all that you do. Really.

I have no earthly idea how they conduct their business or arrive at the decisions they make. I'm not part of the ROT organization in any way and they don't confide in me. I just volunteer to moderate the forum. Nothing more, nothing less. :)

I'm thinking the logo is on the left side ofthe home page, under our dashboards. It's cool.
