HEY, THIS IS MY FIRST ROT RALLY. I REALLY NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO? AND I WANT TO BE WHERE, THE FUN IS GOING TO BE. BECAUSE I WANT TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF IT.

as soon as you hit the gates at ROT you have found the good time. Parade route is probably by far the best entertainment.......I think

Find the Paradise Bar (on main road), come around to the back, yell for Mell or Billypop, or just yell SOB'ers. We'll take it from there!

Great riding in hill country, ride over to Laukenbauch tx cold beer great music, then go to Fredicksburg great micro brewery, then there is Grean tx and the best food in the world is at Grist Mill.

This is my first time at the rally grounds, too. Based on what I've learned, there's quite a bit to do. You could spend most of a day just visiting the exhibits - there are over 300 of them. There's a steady rotation of live bands. Tattoo competitions, chopper-building competitions, etc. If you're riding, lots of people go on rides during the day. I'm running out east for a good hamburger Saturday, and a few are going with me. Spirit's meet and greet is 6 p.m. Thursday. At 7 there's the big parade into downtown Austin, and that party runs until 1 or 2 a.m. Saturday night is the big on-grounds parade which will probably go all night. Seems like there's plenty to do.

We don't have plans set in stone yet...but few of our friends are talking about heading over to the Comal River to go tubing Thursday morning....to get out of the heat and have some fun.....we will just see how we feel when Thursday morning actually arrives!

there is a place called alamo springs cafe, best hamburgers ever....they were in the Texas monthly ranked i think either 1 or 2......its right around fredricksburg near the old tunnel.
