After returning home from ROT, I discovered the gas tank for the generator on the RV was leaking. We have a 2007 Adventure RPM 23FB toy hauler purchased from Fun Time RV in Cleburne. Bothe the manufacturer and the RV sales place are no longer in business. I have a couple of questions before I attempt to drop the plastic tank and fix it..

1. Has anyone else out there had to do this?

2. For safety do I need to disconnect all power to the RV? Tanks is empty or almost empty according to the gauge and what I could see when I got under it.

3. Once I find the leak, how do I fix it? BAR is a week away and I'm in the yellow area and will be needing the generator.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Larry B

Log on to WWW.RV.NET a lot of guys on there do their own repairs. Click on the toyhauler section and ask the same question.

Are you sure its coming from the tank itself? The first step would be to verify exactly where the leak is. Maybe its just a loose or rotted line. If it is the tank I would suspect replacement is the answer. I'm not real fond of patching fuel tanks.

But I'm not an rv mechanic just a Ford Senior Master Tech.

I'm hoping that's all it is, fuel line. Will get a better look in the AM. Thanks for the info.
