I don't know if any of ya'll know Jamie and Tammy Adams, but if you do and haven't heard they were involved in a horrible accident Sunday.  Jamie was severely injured and is in ICU at Parkland.  Sadly, Tammy, his soulmate, didn't survive.  He has already had several surgeries and he'll be having many more.  Even if you don't know them by name, I'm sure you've seen Jamie in his black helmet with antlers attached ... he always has beads hanging on his horns.  Tammy was a pretty blonde and a super sweet person.

They were always at the rallies we attended, we met them at our first ROT when they camped close to us.  They were very active with Biker Adult Rally and ran the bike games for Rick and Sheila.

There will be a fund set up to help offset expenses and when that info is available, I'll post it.

Services for Tammy will be held this Saturday, Feb 19th at 4:00 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse, Texas.

Please keep Jamie, Tammy and their family in your thoughts and prayers.

Really breaks my heart to hear of this.  Wish we were there to pay our respects.  Let us know where the fund is set up and will do what we can to help.

Our prayers are with Jamie and his family and friends.

One killed, another critical in motorcycle crash

Published: Wednesday, February 16, 2011 9:18 PM CST
A Wylie woman is dead and another remains in critical condition in a Dallas hospital following a serious crash south of Farmersville.

The accident occurred sometime before 2:12 p.m. Friday at the intersection of State Highway 78 South and County Road 546 involving two vehicles and a motorcycle, according to Collin County dispatch reports.

The accident took the life of Tammy Adams of Wylie who died at the scene of the crash. Her husband, James Adams of Wylie, remains in a Dallas hospital in critical condition.

Trooper Thomas Anderson of the Texas Department of Public Safety's Highway Patrol office in McKinney said a vehicle was accidentally pushed into the highway by another vehicle, causing the motorcycle to crash, ejecting the occupants.

A 2005 Dodge Neon, driven by Ashley Fultz of Nevada, was driving north on SH 78 and attempted to turn on to the county road when her vehicle was struck from behind by a 2005 Ford F-350 pickup truck driven by Ryan Prater of Princeton, Anderson said.

Prater told troopers following the accident that he did not see the Neon stop in time and tried to apply the brakes to avoid a collision. He struck the vehicle and the collision caused it to veer into the southbound side of SH 78 and into the path of a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by James Adams with Tammy Adams as a passenger, Anderson said.

The Harley Davison struck the Neon on the passenger side and the collision threw the Adams off of their vehicle and into the street. Anderson said they were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash.

Several local police and fire units responded. Paramedics set up a landing zone for a helicopter to transport Mr. Adams to Parkland Memorial Hospital. Anderson said he remains in critical condition as of Wednesday.

A representative of the Collin County Medical Examiner's Office also responded to the accident and declared Mrs. Adams deceased at the scene, according to dispatch reports.

Fultz only sustained minor injuries. She was also riding with two passengers in her vehicle, her husband Jeffrey and 9-year-old son in the rear passenger seat. All three were transported to a nearby hospital where they were treated and released.

No charges have been filed as a result of the crash, Anderson said.

That is sad to hear.  Let us know where and when to donate.  No one knows what to say when something sad happens to some one...sometimes the worst thing to say is nothing at all.  God go with.

We went to the memorial service Saturday. The funeral home was packed and the parking lots were a mixture of cars and bikes. The service was an awesome service and celebrated Tammy's life. Keep Jamie and the family in your prayers. There had been a report that his leg was to be amputated, but at the service, it was announced that it hadn't been. Prayers do get answered.
