Hey fellow R.A.A. members,

(Sayin' this with both fingers crossed...)  On Feb 2nd, ol' Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shaddow.  Well, that means early spring according to grandma's teaching.  So while the Northern RAA chapters might disagree, it seems the southern branch of ROT Addicts are blessed with 75 to 80-degree weather for Daytona, which starts next weekend.  So....anyone headed across this way, give a shout.

I'm headed to Cocoa Beach for (not making this up), a training course Mon-Fri--old Uncle Sam is sending me...twisting my arm, he is Wink!  I'm headed to Thunder Gulch for the first weekend, then setting up camp on the infield of Daytona International with Tigerpilot around Wednesday.  PM or email if you're headed this way.  We can start ROT and S.E.E.N.B.O.O.B.I.E.S. early!

Scooter....I'll be at the Hilton, Cocoa Beach in class Tue - Fri.  Not sure where over the weekend.  We check in at the Speedway on Wed.  Will have the Outlaw with the Rocket inside.  See you there.

We had hoped to make it this year - but its not going to be a happening thing.  Too many health issues with our parents, too many business commitments, too many things with the house (love old houses but when one thing goes wrong, they all go wrong) plus our riding buddies/best friends moved across the state.  (I'm SO sad about that!!)  And, so much has drained our time this winter we never got the bike tore down and redone like we planned to ready it for a long trip.

Guess we're stuck in Texas (not a bad thing, mind you) until next year.

Trouble is  my middle name, but on the Texas Gulf Coast there is ALWAYS something to do.  West of the Brazos, Angleton Icehouse, Bud's Icehouse, Woody's, The Spot, Poop Deck, Noah's Ark, T-Bone Tom's, enough Harley dealerships to break the bank, Bluewater Hwy, Texas City Dike (not Dyke that Mean Gene Kelton sang about), Bolivar ferry.....all with a flask of Parrot Bay Coconut Rum (thats where the trouble ususally stems from). lol

I think the Bud Light guy will help us out ... he always has. :)  I'm going to contact the Parrot Bay guy EARLY this year and hopefully he'll come through - since he didn't last year. :(  I figure I can get our Harley dealership to donate a prize again this year and I will bag up some beads to give away also.  Not sure what else I can scrape together from businesses ... but its time to get started working on it.  It'll be June before we know it!!

OK...in order:

Scooter:  since the "Friend Finder" isn't that friendly, just call the Cocoa Beach Oceanside Hilton for Rm 636.  I'm here until Saturday.  Happy Hour???  Pick a place and we can have a ROT Reunion/Planning meeting!

Spirit...If we could get ROT to get J&P Cycles to sign on, I'll be in their Daytona HQ and talking to their rally committee this week (or get tossed tryin'...so to speak).  So...if ROT will get them a place/spot/enticement, maybe we can get them to toss some 'Gift Cards' to the M&G.  For that matter, I'll bring a case (or two) of your libation to the M&G, just to be neighborly (after all...I've got the opposite end of Purple C-row).

Les & Shelly...give a shout on FB or otherwise...Daytona starts in two days!  And the weather is 75-plus this weekend; it's 80-plus next week from Wed (hopefully!)
