This year the security was unbelievable.. I actually had one of the guys tell me at 1:00am that it needed to be our last trip around. We had most of the security that was pretty cool.... Others were on a massive power trip. Seriously they are getting paid to stare at T and A all weekend and they want to be A-Holes.. What is the deal with the beef up on the cops? We could not even stop to get beads or take pictures without one up our butts. Next thing you know,, people won't be allowed to have fun.. The ROT is my chosen once a year vacation and I have had a blast every year. This year was more of getting treated like school children. We are all adults and should be treated that way. I paid for my tickets just as everyone else did. I do not need to be told when to go home especially when all the on site campers are up all night partyin. We were not on a bike making a bunch of noise. I had been going for years now and this year was by far the worst. I just want to go have fun with all the biker family just as everyone else. Please for future years to come let us be FREE just as we are on the road. You want a whole lot of security that is fine. They just need to be there to keep the peace just like in past times.. No need for a power trip and getting told what to do when you are doin nothing but slowin down for a brief second to collect beads or take pictures. We dont drive and spend a crap tone of money to be told what to do. We are responsible adults just out to have a good time. Let it stay that way.

I got in trouble on my mini bike this year. OMG a 98 lb. 49 year old woman on a 4cc mini bike is a hells angle blasting threw a baracade causing all kinds of troulbe and a big threat to the public, lol. I wanted to go around a baracade at 3 pm (day light hours) in order to stay out of real bike traffic, like I'm hauling ass on that little thing. The cop told me "well now you are just trying to blow threw all the baracades arent ya"!. I said "sir I am here alone and dont want to get into any trouble, you just tell me the rules and I will follow them". He was so nice then and told me there was nothing wrong with the way I was going and even told me it was ok to cut catty corner across the street. Yes, he was full of him self and his badge. That's ok, I'll be back next year.

That's the whole point - it's not for "a brief second." It's gaggles of 18-19 year old cherries stopping for 10 minutes to do "beads" every time they see a pair of tits go by. They've never seen a tit up close, and they're too young to get into a topless joint, so they go to ROT.

wife and i saw some "kids" that really looked like 18/19 versus 21+, really need to spend the money and effort to keep the underagers from getting on the grounds..maybe they need to check ALL drivers licenses for the correct age versus getting it verbally at check-in!!!! where are the constables/ police officers..oh, wait they are all on the parade route

ROT is not, nor will it ever be a 21 and over rally. They have always supported the military and as long as there are soldiers between the ages of 18 and 20, its my understanding that ROT won't become a 21 and over rally.
(Although personally I think it would be nice if it were 21 & over or active military. )

I don't know how often management looks at the forums, but I do pass along a synopsis of what ya'll say about rules and changes.

I thought ROT was a 21 and over rally. I do think it's great that it isn't however. Now my son can accompany me this year if he isn't deployed! GO ROT. Support our Military boys and girls.
