I hear Pete's Dueling Piano Bar on 6th street is a fun place.  Anyone ever checked it out?

The first time we RVed to ROT in '09, we made a reservation downtown for Fri night to do the parade n watch Robbie K's jump. The street party was a mass of people, hot and less than fun. We hit several of the bars, and one I think was Pete's. They were packed and hopping...just like many other Fri/Sat nights. The next day at ROT, our neighbors described what we'd missed at our parade route spot. That description included two girls, a guy and two other girls, and lots of 'sounds'...can't look at that lawn chair now without a mental image of what we missed. BOTTOM LINE: you can see dueling pianos anywhere...what happens on the ROT parade route is unique to ROT and not to be missed! Rockett

Yeah the year we stayed of site.. we got back the next morning and the neighbors were telling us what all went down while we were gone.. missed a s&m show and all kinds of other things and we decided we werent staying off site again.. the next year we tented it.. that was rough and hot.. so this year uptown all the way in the RV.. and golf cart...Jello shots and plenty of scooby snacks and margaritas...  pumped and ready... gonna be a blast at my camper anyway...lol : p

I agree with you Rockett. We stayed off site first year and that will be the only year that happens. Party on sixth street before and after but the rot just can't be beat and I believe with new cart rules or no cart rules it will be the party we decide to make it sorry all those people that are pissy aren't coming but let's not let them rain on our parade!!! Chelle. When we left and stayed in our hotel we were hammered with stories and text messages about what all we missed after we left. Hated that lol but we will have our spots and supplies to participate in it all this year.
