Your registration is all inclusive.  The only thing you'll pay for once you are inside is food, drink and vendor items.  All concerts and events are included in the wristband cost.

I know Rv people can register weds morning, my question is... Do they have someone to escort each person to their campsite or is it left up to you to find the correct spot? I mean I'll be the first to admit I'm kinda road map challenged. Lol, and the last thing I wanna have to do is turn the 36 foot trailer around.

There are escorts there from the very beginning. My experience is you can not enter UNTIL the escort brings you onto the grounds from the side of the building. The spots are all marked, though. Easy to find if you do a little map study and print out the map of the area you are in along with the grounds. The thing you MUST plan for is not having power at the spots with electric...that usually takes most of the afternoon and into the evening. And if you are running a LONG hose to fill a pool, plan for it to be driven over wherever it crosses a lane or spot. There are a lot of vehicles (and dust if it has not rained recently) until things quiet down around 8 or 9pm. And then, the party starts!

No vendors of any type are open until 8:00 am on Thurs when the rally starts.  Once you get your wristband on Wed. you can come and go anytime onto the grounds.  Registration closes at 8:00 - the gate is 24 hr.

Good info, be sure and have some gas for the generator to run a little while till the electric gods get it all working. That's no problem, I intended on filling the tank just in case there was any problems. Thanks for all the help and sorry for all the little questions, just want to make it as easy as I can for myself. I'm ready to get in, get set, and get the party started.

BP, I learned from my first year staying on sight is to always bring breakfast food!  They ran out of breakfast tacos and we went hungry till lunch.  I guess they didnt expect the over whelming demand for breakfast food. But then again we didnt make it to the vendor till 9:30am.  Hummmm, imagine that staying up till 3 or 4am every night and wanting to sleep in late lol.

The way we like to eat... theres always food loaded.... that comes right next to the alcohol. The only question I have regarding food is how much to cook and when do I want to tke time out of my fun time to cook.  Guess like always when I get tired of hearing her tell me how hungry she is. I'm kinda fond of my own cooking anyway.

TM, I start BBQing a month before ROT.  Just before the meat is done I pull it off the pit, let it cool and put it seal a meal (vacume) bag then freeze it.  I also make a ton of cream cheeze bacon wrapped jalapinos and freeze them in the same way.  Just thaw out what I want to eat that day and thow it on the pit or in the micro wave to finish cooking it.  Prep time at home is a life saver at ROT.  Those cooked frozen hunks of meat also serve as "ice" in your ice cheast to help keep things cold.

BP, there is a small drum pit at HEB for 59.00 to 69.00 that is GREAT to haul around camping and stuff.  Has a draw on the side that you can pull all the way out for easy cleaning.  I drag that thing around every where and havent even had to tighten a srew yet.

Got to go, LOT of car fires on Nascar to watch tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Wow, Gorden just flipped over a few times.

now that's something I hadn't thought of... smoking the meat prerally. As you said then it's merely defrosting and reheating each day. Not to mention I wouldn't need my big smoker then, just a small grill to reheat. Save time and ROOM.

And I also love the wrapped jalepeno's. Just sorta makes the whole meal a little better with the extra kick. I bought a rack they stand in that works great on the grill.

the ideas are building with each post. I'm starting to love the forum. Thanks to all for the helpful hints and ideas.

Chelle, I just looked at the tag on it.  It's called a Chare Griller, Professional Grills and Smokers 912-638-4724.  Home Depot had one kinda like it but the drawer pulled out from the front.  I love the size of them, it's a drum style grill but half the size of the huge ones.  Easy to load in the truck, I just tie the lid shut, lay it on its side and slide it in the bed of the truck.  BIST YET, IT'S ALREADY PUT TOGETHER, LOL.

Just like this one.  No need for the smoke stack, it has vents on both sides of it.  WalMart online is selling them for 99.00.  I dont trust the online price, ya just have to go to the store and check it out.  HEB always has them for 59.00 to 69.00  I got mine on sale for 59.00.  Target has them to.

That's about the size we've been looking at. I have a big one but with the cart and bike in the toy hauler there just isn't enough rooom to haul it. I need to make up my mind soon thogh so I can give it a trial run.
