There isn't a number to schedule it, you just grab one of the trucks when they come by.

I guess everyone knows they pull the water from the small lake? At least that's what the driver told me.
Posted: 05/02/2010 01:31 PM
so what are you saying dont drink the water lol
Posted: 05/02/2010 02:22 PM
I wouldn't, lol!

SNJ you're kidding right? I've seen folks filling their fresh water tanks on their RV off of the trucks, surely that is potable water? Sounds like a quick trip to the er.

Nope, the driver said "DO NOT DRINK THE WATER"! All they do is pull over to the lake by the site and fill up.

That isn't right Santos, They don't sell it as potable water, but its just Expo/city water. They may fill up over by the lake but they don't fill up with lake water.

The Problem is not the water. It is the truck that it is hauled in. They are not Sterlized. If you use it in your RV, just put a little bleach in with it to kill any germs, maybe half a cup to 100 gals. But if you get a belly ache a few days later. You have probaly got a parasite. Have you ever heard of the running squirts?? ;).

Oh gross. I've heard of them but I don't wanna talk about them!!
You can buy tablets to put in your tank to make the water potable.

What is a protective dike? Is it a large woman that says "Don't go near there! But Betty- Don't go near there! Don't go down by the river!"... No, we can't say "dyke" on the air, we can't even say "lesbian" anymore, it's "women in comfortable shoes. Thank You."
Sorry guys it just flashed in my head reading this post. Damn squirrels!

You make me think of the Texas City Dike. Tim and I nearly lived there when we were young. For those not familiar with the dike, its is some of the best fishing in Texas and the best spot to sail Catamarans ever! It suffered heavy damage during Ike and has been closed since the storm.
There's a great song about the Texas City Dyke - not to be confused with the dike - by Mean Gene Kelton.

You gotta love Robin Williams in Good Morning Vietnam!
Idea for ROT---Can we have a beer truck come by and fill up my tank? Black water Gray Water and Fresh Beer Tank.

I think it would lose some of it's fizz, that's why I'm stocking up now so it's not a big hit when we head for the Rally!
Posted: 05/03/2010 09:32 AM
Saw your post the other day on stocking up $16.99. Thought damn that dude is smart. haha Less impact on the wallet all at once but prob more frightening to my wife on how much a am actually drinking.
I'll pitch it like this to her. It's like a sale on shoes honey...look at all these cases I got on sale. It's not how many that I have it's the amount of money we saved. And hell while were at it were going to recycle these babies and save the world for our children.

You just get friends to also buy cases, then they say they are buying for you and you for them. And then when you get there, Its just "Oh WOW, how did we get so much beer??" Then you cant let it go to waste......

your right Yogi one year i saw this truck pull up to the rv next to me and because of the state of the truck i thought it was a holding tank pump truck but nooooo it was a water truck i asked my neighbor how it tasted he said they only used it for showers but based on the look of the truck i dont know if i would have showered with it
Posted: 05/05/2010 10:18 PM
The prob with the truck is it is a sewer truck normaly. But I hear beer is a good purifier. As for the pool we are planning to have one also and clothing is not an option for any ladys who want in.
