Will tent campers be allowed in when the RVs are on Wednesday?

Yes.  Tent campers and RVers can both come in on Wednesday to get camp set up.  Keep in mind there are no servicves available.  No vendors, food, beer or Rubber Duckie until Thursday when the rally opens.

So, when other people are still pounding on Tent pegs, we will be wishing they'd stop because we were up all night.  While they're still wondering where to go buy those forgotten items, we will be first in line at the showers.  And while they're still fighting traffic to get back with those items, we'll already be looking around and thinking about food.

Sounds perfectly fine to me!

Check the "Facilities Map" for the portable showers on the South/East side of the Thunder Dome between Tan and Yellow lot.  You'll see a little 'Duckie' symbol.  That's the Rubber Duckie portable showers.  They sell a wrist band that lets you use their hot showers for the whole ROT Rally (or daily entry; the weekend deal works out better).  They are clean and hot...and usually have a line in the mornings.  Inside the covered market are other 'showers' for men/women.  As I understand it, those are not heated (though arguably, as hot as it gets, 'hot' might be relative).  Anyway, the Rubber Duckie is the hot showers/bathroom facility by the Thunder Dome.

Imo, Rubber Duckie is the best investment inside the rally.  Like Rocket said, they are the paid, hot showers.  The cold showers are free but at $20 for the whole weekend, RD is a great value.  We have an RV and still pay to use their showers.

It is really not that bad.........However, I would suggest one thing....if you are going to use the free showers bring a hanger to hang your clothes on while you bathe....there is no place to set them down that isn't wet.....just FYI

A couple of Buds that camp with us said the free cold showers end up being co-ed due to the lack of space for the women. Of course they didn't mind.

The cold-ed showers weren't too bad. The line was terrible at RD so we skipped it. We usually showered at night before we hit the sack. They were a bit of refreshment after a long hot ride. If you don't want to see a person of the other type in the shower with you then don't look. CO-ED....CO-ED.....CO-ED.......

I noticed this question was asked last year and I was just wondering if it still applied this year... will tent campers be allowed in on Wednesday ? Also will they be allowed to spend the night Wednesday or just let in to set up their tent and stuff ?
