We are looking for a good place to set up camp this year. We stayed behind Paradise and loved it, but the trip in and out through the croud was a real pain. We were thinking about staying over by the brown RV lots. They are close to the gate so leaving for our rides or a trip to the store would be no problem.
Any thoughts??????

If I were camping, my area of choice would be the treed roadway up close to where the Dyna guy was year before last.

I've always tent camped behind Club Row some where. The middle gives you good access I found. The only problem is, if you want to camp there, you better be in line before the gates open!

Traditionally they open the gates Wednesday @ noon, except for the RV rental companies who are associated with the ROT Rally--they get access Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning so the RVs are set and ready when the renters arrive. The cue to get in starts forming Wednesday morning and turns into a party (sort of) amongst the people waiting to get in. Check-in might look to be jammed back...it goes very quickly once you're inside the gates.

OK.. So it was Wed morning... Thanks Rocket and SNJ... Looks like I will be in line.. Last year We got in line about 8AM... Looks like I will shoot for that again.. Hopefully not raining again.. Setting up a tent in the rain is like riding with flat tires... It gets done.. but it is messy... BUt you can always Fixit later ;)
