We haven't been to ROT since 08 and the fire ants were terrible, are they still bad?

If it rains they will be bad, like last year. The dry weather this year will keep them down some. Better bring something to kill or at least run-em off.

Even if its drier than a bone with no rain forecast, do not dismiss that R.O.T. usually stands for Rain On Thursday; although last year it arrived a day early.  Plan on moisture to get the ant beds popping and come prepared. :)

I use a ground fogger before I lay the tarp down and spray that too, then I stake my tent on top of the tarp...........no bugs!

How'd that work out last year, Ed? I seem to remember you sleeping in your camp chair one night because the ants invaded flagland, specifically your cot. LOL.
