I believe after 10 o'clock or whenever the vendors are checked in . You'll find SOb'S in line hopefully at the front wait'n with you Chep to get in. Good luck

Yes you can get in on Wednesday along with everyone else... know I'm not sprint but figured I would answer anyways.

You're back!!!  Good to see you, sorry to miss your question, we were in the hot tub.  Donna's right, campers can enter on Wednesday after 10:00 am.

do u need a designated site to pitch a tent? is there any cost ?

I live about ten minutes away and was planning on riding home each night (err make that morning) but now I am having second thoughts.

Tent camping is free -- and you can camp anywhere that isn't in the vendor area or RV areas.  I wouldn't ride back and forth.  Staying on site is the way to go.  Go home to shower if ya want -- or use the Rubber Duckie.

Ok question. We are staying in the rv area (orange). There are others with us that will be in tents. Is that going to be a problem?

RVer's can share their space with tent campers.  As long there isn't more than one RV and everything on your site fits 100% inside your designated area you can have what you want, including tents.  I was referring to tent campers without an invitation to a site.

OK. maybe that wasn't what Boomer said (but it was funny) anyway, tent camping is free....just find a spot and nail it (I mean stake it) down

Not really sure anyone would want to camp on asphalt, pretty hard and might get a little warm from sunshine........just sayin'

There is about 10 of us who are coming in to Austin Tuesday to stay at a Hotel for Wednesday morning so we can be there bright and early to get a spot in Line and get set up, Because the party starts Wednesday afternoon!

The party starts Tuesday Night .......but anyway.................CHEERS!

I would in a heart beat... at least try to anyways lol.

at least there are no sharp rocks on the asphalt to dig into your ....... uh ....... back when you pass out at 4:32 in the morning

Spirit - I understand that tent campers can enter on Wednesday after 10am.  My question is, how LATE on Wednesday will tent campers be allowed into the grounds (I see that the gates are manned 24/day Thurs-Sat, but no mention of Wed)? 

We cannot get off work until mid-afternoon so, leaving north of Dallas after 4pm and traveling on our motorcycle should target our arrival around 9-10pm on Wednesday.  We have pre-registered, and I understand the part about still having to pay $60 cash per person (if arriving after 8pm) and then getting reimbursed the next day during normal registration hours. Can you verify that someone will  be at the gate to accept our cash and allow us in very late on Wednesday (just don't want to spend 5 hours driving the motorcycle to the grounds only to be denied entry late Wednesday evening)?

We can always get a good night's sleep at the house on Wednesday and then head down early Thursday morning - but would love to get an extra night on partying in as long as I can be assured that we CAN get in.
